ABOUT THE JOURNAL

Vascular Access, the CVAA journal, is published three times a year and provides excellent information regarding every aspect of vascular access and infusion therapy. There are many pertinent topics covered in each issue and a subscription to Vascular Access is free with a CVAA membership. PDF copies of back issues are available on the website for CVAA members.

Aim & Scope:
As the journal of the Canadian Vascular Access Association, Vascular Access is dedicated to improving the practice of vascular access and infusion therapy and establishing standards of excellence in this specialized field. Using a rigorous double-blind peer review process, we present leading edge theories, research, and practice in an open access forum, adding to the global knowledge bank through a variety of resources – including research studies, literature reviews, and trial protocols – relevant to the advancement of vascular access and infusion therapy best practice.

Linda Verde is the Editor-in-Chief for the Vascular Access journal and she joined the CVAA Publications Team in 2017. Linda has been a freelance editor and writer for more than twenty years and has worked in a variety of areas. While writing for 3M Canada and 3M Germany, the majority of her work was for the healthcare and microbiology departments, including extensive writing about wound care products. She worked at Ivey Business School for more than 20 years preparing their content for publication, became managing editor then took the reins as publisher and editor of their prestigious management journal, Ivey Business Quarterly. Between the two positions, she held responsibility for all aspects of producing a high-quality periodical. Linda loves this work including the rhythm of a regular publication.
